MaryKaye Grams-Hill, 68, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2:16 pm in her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Albert Isbell officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Saturday at the funeral chapel.
She was born May 2, 1956 in Michigan City, IN to John and H. Delores (Buell) Grams.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Hill of Michigan City, IN; daughter, Rachel Marie (Duane) Svetic of Westfield, IN; three sons, Ryan Dirk (Deborah Stephens) Neitzel of Michigan City, IN, Joshua Hans (Valerie Tharp) Neitzel of Michigan City, IN and Max Hill of Boone Grove, IN; her mother, H. Delores Grams of Michigan City, IN; five grandchildren, Grace Ryan Svetic, Miles Svetic, Avery Svetic, Ryder Hans Neitzel and Gary Moorman, Jr.; sister, Pam Grams of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Danny (Patty) Grams of Trail Creek, IN; ex-husband and friend, Dirk Hans Neitzel of Michigan City, IN; four cousins, Sue Pizarek, Phil (Bunny) Grams, Patty Grams and Neal Grams; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Grams; and grandparents, Jacob and Mary Grams and Paul and Minnie Buell.
MaryKaye had worked as a nurses aide, private duty nurse, EMT, paramedic, school board member, Bethlehem Steel and as a registered nurse. She enjoyed going to the beach, especially Beverly Shores Beach, making organic potions and hunting for crinoid fossils. MaryKaye loved her family, friends and her birds and dogs.
