Marilyn (McGrath) Peters

Marilyn Peters, 83, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020 at 2:15 am at her home in Trail Creek, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm, Friday, September 4, 2020 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor Jack Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm -5:00 pm, Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

She was born September 13, 1936 in Michigan City, IN to the late Thomas and Mary (Niegos) McGrath. She married Harry "Jack" Peters who preceded February 11, 1994.

Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Wright of Michigan City, IN, Stacee Peters of Trail Creek, IN; two sons, Jack Peters of La Porte, IN, Fred (Debra) Peters of La Porte, IN; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Tresa, Jordan, Lindsey, Melanie, ArTrina; 10 great-grandchildren; step-brother, Patrick (Aimee) McGrath of Pittsboro, IN; special-niece, Sandra Peters of TX; life partner, Robert Reinholz of Trail Creek, IN; She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mickey McGrath, Joseph McGrath; two sisters, Kathleen Glowinski, Marlene Banks.    

Marilyn retired in 2012 after working 25 years at Stranco Inc. in Michigan City. She also worked 16 years for Burnham Glove Co. in Michigan City. She was a member of the American Legion John Franklin Miller Post 37 and the VFW Post 2536 Woman's Auxiliary. Marilyn enjoyed reading books, doing puzzle books, and watching Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and was a very devoted woman to them.
