Margaret "Marge" Laszynski, 95, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 10:20 am in Trail Creek Place, Michigan City, IN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am CDT, Monday, May 7, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 10:00 am CDT,Monday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born March 3, 1923 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Sebastian and Mary (Wingert) Hampel. On November 25, 1950 in Michigan City, IN she married Steve Laszynski who preceded her on September 4, 1989.

Surviving are her son, Robert S. (Cheryl) Laszynski of West Lafayette, Indiana; granddaughter, Jennifer (Matt) Toney of West Lafayette, Indiana; grandson, Michael (Anne Sy, DDS) Laszynski, DDS of Rochester, Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Ali Toney and Mckenzie Toney; and her sister-in-law, Helen Hampel of Michigan City, Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth Hampel, Mary O'Shea, Agnes Sarabyn and Eve Hampel; and six brothers, Al and Johnny Schwartz and Joseph, Frank, Walter and Paul David Hampel.

Marge was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and volunteered at Franciscan Health - St. Anthony and several area nursing homes. Her and her husband Steve were the owners of the Spot Tavern, Poncho's Tacos, Dee's Snack Shop and Mister Softee Ice Cream. She also had worked in the gift wrapping department of Carson, Pirie Scott & Company and at the Robin Hood Restaurant.
