Margaret Ann Kominiarek Scharl passed away on May 1, 2018 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the age of 65. Margaret was born on May 27, 1952 in Michigan City, Indiana and has called Michigan City, Milwaukee, and Indianapolis "home" over the course of her life. Margaret was a family-oriented and fun-loving child who enjoyed camping in the backyard, trips to the beach, pretending to perform as The Beatles, and, of course, family vacations. Margaret was lucky to grow up with her six siblings as built-in best friends.

Margaret graduated from Marquette High School in 1971 and since then has been a dedicated employee of several organizations that benefited from her strong work ethic.

On February 22, 2014, Margaret married Thomas "Tom" M. Scharl. Margaret enjoyed traveling with Tom and being actively involved with both of their families.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine and Conrad Kominiarek. She is survived by her husband, Tom and her six siblings: Michael (Trish) Kominiarek, Katharyn (Sharon Sullivan) Kominiarek, Mary Susan (Paul) Poorman, Pattie (Tom) Terlep, Stephanie (the late Steve) Steiner, and Stephen (Sharon) Kominiarek. "Aunt Margie" will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Margaret will also be missed by other family and friends whose lives she has touched throughout the course of her own life.

Margaret’s family will never complete a word search, eat a fruit salad, or give a round of applause without thinking of her. Margaret’s kind spirit and clever sense of humor will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Margaret’s life will be celebrated in a private service for her family. If you would like to honor Margaret, a donation in her name would be welcome to the Milwaukee Center for Independence, 2020 W.
