Louis Wayne Solner

February 8, 1944 - August 2, 2019

Louis Wayne Solner, 75, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at 9:10 pm in his home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor Rick Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Sunday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

He was born February 8, 1944 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Dewey and Nora Ruth (Pierson) Solner.

Surviving are two sons, Mitchell Solner of South Carolina and Patrick (Jeana) Solner of LaPorte, IN; grandchildren, Alexus Solner, Elijah Solner, Alyssa Solner; and two brothers, Kenneth Solner of Michigan City, IN and Rodney Solner of Scottsdale, AZ.

Wayne was a Supervisor at McDonald's, a carrier for the Michigan City News Dispatch, and also had retired from Papa John's Pizza where he was known as the "Pizza Guy." He was a member of the D.A.V. Chapter 23 and enjoyed attending auctions, playing sudoku, and Tuesday movie night with his family. He was known as Papa Wayne to many people and being very generous.
