Linda Ann Pliske, 73, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 6:25 am in her home with her husband David at her side.
Mass of Christian burial will be conducted Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Monday evening in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
She was born January 13, 1952 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Clarence J. and Helen J.(Wrobel) Tylisz. On May 26, 1973 in Michigan City, Indiana she married David J. Pliske who survives La Porte, Indiana. Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Bardusk of La Porte, Indiana, and Bernadette (Ryan) Dunckel of Williamston, Michigan; son, Jim (Michelle) Pliske of Three Oaks, Michigan; six grandchildren, Mae Bardusk, Michael Pliske, Jacob Pliske, David Pliske, Gianna Dunckel, and Gabriel Dunckel; sister, Sandra (Tony) Balsama of Michigan City, Indiana; five brothers, Joseph Tylisz of Three Oaks, Michigan, Larry Tylisz of Michigan City, Indiana, Michael Tylisz of St. Joseph, Michigan, Robert (Pat) Tylisz of Michigan City, Indiana, and Thomas Tylisz of Michigan City, Indiana;
Linda was a life member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she volunteered for numerous church functions to include festivals, bingo, sacristan, provided and served refreshments for the runners in the annual St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 5K race. She also made 1000's of rosaries and donated them to schools, missionaries and religious education groups. Linda also took great pleasure in homemaking, excelling in baking, cooking, cleaning, gardening dedicated to her family life, grandchildren whom she loved dearly and many others. She also assisted with a Lupus Support Group mostly securing speakers for the those events.
