Linda K. (Hamilton) Newnum

Linda K. Newnum, 78, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 8:35 p.m. in Michigan City, Indiana.

A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:30 a.m at Faith City Church, 1314 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN 46360. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, is handling arrangements.

She was born September 14, 1947, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Smith) Hamilton.

Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer (Lance) Savoy of Michigan City, IN; her son, Richard Hamilton of North Port, FL; eight grandchildren, Riley Hamilton, Carrie, Amanda, Brook, Nicholas, Codi, Emma, and Destiney; and three great-grandchildren, Clair, Izzy, and Dezzy. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Hamilton; mother, Dorothy Huddleston; and brother, Richard Schmoll.

Linda spent many years as an active member of Merrillville Methodist Church. She was very involved in helping with Meals on Wheels. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
