Kathy "Kathryn" A. Hansen, 60, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 12:15 pm in her home.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Brincka Cross Gardens, 427 E. Furness Rd., Michigan City, IN. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born August 30, 1962 in Michigan City, IN to John and Patricia (Dickerhoff) Novak. On February 8, 1986 in Michigan City, IN she married Larry Hansen who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are a daughter, Katelyn Hansen of Michigan City, IN; her mother, Patricia Novak of Michigan City, IN; two sisters, Lisa Novak and Tamara Novak, both of Michigan City, IN; and her brother, Paul (Lucrethia) Novak of Montpelier, IN; and beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by father, John Novak.
Kathy enjoyed gardening, being in the pool, and spending time with her family and friends. Kathy spent a lot of her time invested in her daughter, Katelyn’s life and education. Additionally in her spare time, she took care of her loved ones with great diligence and care. She had a heart of gold, and was known for loving animals. The family would like to acknowledge Kathy’s medical team and VNA Hospice for their astounding care that they had given her.
