Kathleen Schultz, 64, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10:40 pm in Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, July 27, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Buffalo & 10th Streets, Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday and from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

She was born August 29, 1953 in Michigan City, Indiana to William and Marianne (Lasky) Haynes. On September 29, 1986 in Trail Creek, IN she married Stephen Schultz who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are two daughters, Lorianne Schultz of Michigan City, IN and Melissa (Jay) Phalora of Valparaiso, IN; son, Stephen Schultz of LaPorte, IN; her mother, Marianne Haynes of Michigan City, IN; three grandchildren, Layton, Jace and Emma; three sisters, Debora (Dwayne) Hogan of Michigan City, IN, Joan (Ruben) DeAvila of Trail Creek, IN and Christine Haynes of Trail Creek, IN; three brothers, Joe (Kim) Haynes, Steven (Sandy) Haynes and John Haynes, all of Michigan City, IN; mother-in-law, Ramona Schultz of Michigan City, IN; sister-in-law, Laura (Mark) Menke of LaPorte, IN; many nieces, nephews and friends; and her beloved dog, Toby.

She was also preceded in death by her father, William Haynes.

Kathleen had worked as supervisor at Sears. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Paul's soup kitchen. Kathleen enjoyed cooking, reading and putting together puzzles.
