Judy Carol Bonee, 78, La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 in Northwest Health, La Porte, Indiana.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.    

Judy was born on June 16, 1946, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Leo Stanley and Jennie Blanch (Swigar) Owczarski. On February 9, 1965, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Floyd "Jimmy" T. Bonee, who survives in La Porte. 

Also surviving are her son, David Paul (Lana Leigh Sharai) Bonee of St. Joseph, Michigan; one brother, Bert "Jackie" Zimmerman of Columbus, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bonnie Sue Jania; and one brother, Chester Raymond Zimmerman.

Judy was a 1964 Elston High School Graduate. She was in Purchasing and Security at Franciscan Health, retiring after 25 years. She was employed at Clark Equipment Company in Michigan City for eight years. Judy enjoyed reading, puzzles and attended Faith City Assembly of God.
