Johnny David Schrimsher Sr.

Johnny David Schrimsher Sr., 78, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 5:30 a.m. in Aperion Care - Arbors, Michigan City, Indiana.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
He was born December 17, 1944, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to the late Robert and Bessie (Poff) Schrimsher. On July 29, 1967, in South Bend, Indiana, he married Nora (Johnson) Schrimsher, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Harold Schrimsher and Johnnie David Schrimsher, Jr. both of Michigan City, Indiana; one grandchild, Jacob Frankinburger of Brownsville, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Donovan and Aaliyah Frankinburger; one nephew, Greg (Teresa) Kempfer; and one niece, JerriLynn (Mark) Stantz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Barbara Kempfer; and one brother, Kenneth Schrimsher.
Johnny honorably served his country in the United States Marines and was a former member of American Legion John Franklin Miller Post #37, Michigan City. He formerly enjoyed golfing and woodworking.
