Johnny Ray  "John" Evans, 67, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at 2:54 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 11, 2021 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Pastor George Bond  officiating. Cremation will follow services.  Visitation hours will be from 10:00 am -11:00 am, Friday in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

He was born February 16, 1954 in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Ray "Pops" and Gloria Faye (Hinkle) Evans . On July 4, 2009 in Shepherdsville, Kentucky he married Barbara (DePoy) Bush Evans who survives Michigan City, Indiana.  Also surviving are daughter, Renee (Brian) Seyring and son, Johnny Evans, Jr. both of Michigan City, Indiana; Three step-daughters, Tiffany Bush of San Angelo, Texas, Kayla Bush of South Bend, Indiana and Leilani Bush of Michigan City, Indiana; granddaughter, Nina Garrett and  great-grandson, Roland Kelley; sister, Vicky (Brian) Berry of Michigan City, Indiana along with a  nephew, Brian Elliott Berry of Michigan City, Indiana; He was preceded in death by niece, Sonia Berry;   

John was a maintenance repairman handy in troubleshooting and repairing anything mechanical.  He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
