James Clinton Robinson
March 2, 1939 - February 26, 2023

James Clinton Robinson, 83, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 1:32 a.m. in his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2023 at Liberty Bible Church, 824 N. Calumet Ave., Chesterton with Kevin Earhart officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, is handling arrangements.

Jim was born March 2, 1939 in Canton, Ohio. He was the child of the late James A. and Concetta (Siena) Robinson. On November 15, 1969, at Michigan City Christian Church, he married Constance "Connie" Jane (Brooker) Robinson, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, James H. (Christine) Robinson of Marietta, GA; two daughters, Lesley Robinson of Muskegon, MI, and Yvette Cook of Carnation, WA; two sisters, Beth (Dan) Ronk of Logansport, IN, and Cathy Darnell of Asheville, NC; two grandchildren, Christian (Sofia) Cook of Bothell, WA, and Hannah (Marcus) Piscuc of Redmond, WA; one great-grandchild, Judah Piscuc; and his dogs, KoDee and Nugget, his dogs, were his best friends. He also loved his grand-doggies, Huck, Annabel, Rosie, and Daisy Blu.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Judith Loper.

Jim honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. For 30 plus years he was a self-employed, independent steel hauler. After retiring from hauling steel, Jim purchased a dump truck and started J & C Trucking for dump hauling. He ran this company for 5 years. Jim was a current member of Liberty Bible Church, Chesterton, the Lionel Collectors Club of America, and the NHRA - National Hot Rod Association. He was a former member of Moose Lodge #980, Michigan City.

Jim was a die-hard sports fan of the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Bears, and NHRA drag racing. He had a love for model electric trains, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and solving crossword puzzles.
