James "Rags" Ragland, 59, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10:22 pm in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City, Michigan City.
Visitation hours will be from 4pm - 8pm Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City. Private family burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
He was born January 4, 1954 in Michigan City, Indiana to Eugene & Jean (Niendorf) Ragland. On September 12, 1981 in Michigan City he married Barbara Bickel, who survives Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are Daughter, Kimberly (Andrew) VanSickle of Michigan City, Indiana; Son, Andrew Ragland of Michigan City, Indiana;and his parents Eugene & Jean Ragland, Michigan City;
Jim was a member of Phi Delta Kappa Fraternity-Gamma Lambda Chapter. He enjoyed playing golf with golf buddies and in past years enjoyed his Thursday night bowling league. He retired after 20 years with Sullair having work in International Sales and for the last 19 years worked as a senior computer technician at Computer Pro MC.
