James R. "Moe" Petoskey

James R. "Moe" Petoskey, 66, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 12:56 am in his home.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
He was born February 25, 1957 in Michigan City, IN. On September 15, 2000 in Nashville, TN he married Sherry Czilli who survives in La Porte, IN.
Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa (Timothy) Becker of Westville, IN; three grandchildren, Dylan, Ryder and Bree Becker; his mother, Carolyn (Jim) Bowers of Michigan City, IN; a sister, Cindy Kautz of La Porte, IN; a niece, Beth Bortz and great-nephews Cameron, Braden Tucker, and Ryland Bortz all of La Porte IN.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Petoskey.
Moe retired as a steel worker at Cleveland Cliffs. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and gardening.
