James M. McNallan, 50, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 8:13 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with  Rev. William F. O'Toole officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's of The Lake Cemetery, Lake City, MN.  Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Tuesday in the Legacy Center of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. A celebration of life gathering will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm  Tuesday at the St. Joseph Young Men's Society in Michigan City, IN. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

He was born November 15, 1970 in Cedar Falls, IA to John and Betty (Kipfmueller) McNallan who survive in Lakeville, MN.

Also surviving are a sister, Brenda (Bradley) Ver Meer of Savage, MN; two nieces, Lauren and Alexandra Ver Meer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Sean McNallan.  

James was a an insurance agent at Michiana Insurance. He was a member of St. Joseph Young Men's Society and a life member of the Izaak Walton League. He was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, skiing, and going to the beach. He always made spending time with friends a priority.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
