James O. Bishop, Jr., 35, LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 2:07 am in LaPorte Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm, Saturday, August 17, 2019 at St. John's United Church of Christ Chapel, 101 St. John Road, Michigan City, Indiana with Dr. Dennis Carroll officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, Saturday at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born January 18, 1984 in LaPorte, IN. On March 8, 2014 in Michigan City, IN he married Susan Van Vleet who survives in LaPorte.

Also surviving are his daughter, Madyson Bishop of LaPorte, IN; Three Sons, Aiden Bishop, Clayton Bishop and Mason Bishop, all of LaPorte, IN; mother, Marsha (John) Wachowski of DeMotte, IN; father, James O. Bishop of Indiana; sister, Harvest (Chuck) Householder of North Judson, IN; three brothers, Jacob Bishop of Michigan City, IN, Josh Bishop of Crown Point, IN and Jon Tschop; and his grandparents, Dr. Dennis and Mary Carroll of Michigan City, IN.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dale Frazier.

James enjoyed cooking, football, baseball, basketball, watching documentaries and spending time with his children.
