Jack Lee Replogle, 86, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at 5:55 pm in University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago, Illinois
Mass of Christian burial will held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. David Kime officiating.Visitation will be from 9:30 am till 11:00 am Wednesday in the Queen of all Saints Catholic Church Legacy Center. Arrangements are being conducted by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
He was born May 17, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late Milo L. and Agnes (Walt) Replogle. On March 13, 1982 he married his childhood sweetheart since 1942 and soul mate Darlene A. Fuller who survives Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are five sons, Mike (Robyn) Replogle of Dorr, Michigan, Eric J. (Janet) Frageman of Michigan City, Indiana, Kevin (Penny) Replogle of Hamilton, Michigan, Darren (Mindy) Frageman of Michigan City, Indiana, and Bob (Vicki) Replogle of Wyoming, Michigan; two daughters, Shelley (Michael) Abrams of Indianapolis, Indiana and Pam (Jim) Blink of Dorr, Michigan; Grandchildren, Lisa (Ryan) Hager, Shawn (Lindsay) Replogle, Jesse (Hannah) Frageman, Cole (Marissa) Frageman, Annissa Replogle, Blake Replogle, Jessica Replogle, Erica (Joseph) Yan, Erin (Mason) Luellen, Emily (Jason) Coker, Zeena Frageman, Vanessa Frageman, Darrena Frageman, Rhonda (Dave) Jelsema, Ray (Barb) Colvin, Aubrey (Bob) Byers and Emily Pummill along with 16 great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Hock and James Hock;
Jack was a member of Queen of all Saints Catholic Church as he was very firm in his catholic religion. He was a member of the UTUIA (United Transportation Union International Association. He started school in Paw Paw, Michigan then continued on to then St. Mary's School in Michigan City where he graduated in 1953. In 1951 he started working at Burnham Glove Co. and then worked for the CSX Railroad as a freight conductor where he remained 42 years until retirement. At that time he continued working as a real estate entrepreneur as a landlord. Jack enjoyed watching the birds and animals from his sun room and absolutely loved to sprinkle the flowers and garden for hours along with sitting at desk working. He enjoyed fishing and the time he spent in the Villages and Marco Island, Florida with friends from all over and his regular trips with a basket lunch to the shores of Lake Michigan and Striebel Pond. He deeply loved & cherished his wife, children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
