Helen M. Gartner, 67, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 in her home. She courageously battled P.S.P., a rare neurological disease, for over twelve years.

Helen was born to Gerald and Martha Fraiser. On the Feast of St. Francis over twenty years ago, she married the love of her life, Raymond Gartner, who survives.

Also surviving are sisters, Mary LaBuda, Norma Fraiser, Lottie Frasier; brothers, Larry Fraiser, Al Fraiser; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Rodney.

Helen graduated from Purdue University in Hammond, and retired as an RN. She worked in various area hospitals. She loved Labrador Retrievers, the Outdoors, and cherished Nature in all its beauty. Helen enjoyed visiting and hiking our Indiana State Parks. She was a proud member of AA for many years as well.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date with family. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
