Her Story...
Love and Happiness
On a beautiful, summer day Fay Nell Davis was born June 8, 1936 in Macon, MS to the late Pat Murphy and Mary T.H. Avery. The oldest of (3) children, she was the giving and caring, self sacrificing role model of the family.
Driven with ambition and passionate about education, cooking, gardening, and fishing. A hard worker and a natural leader, she retired from Sullair Corporation after many years of service.
On Dec. 26, 1953 she married the love of her life, the late Roy L. Davis. From that union, she lived life prioritizing their five children.
While spending time in Phoenix Arizona, she enjoyed spending time outdoors and lounging at the pool. Donned with a wide brim summer hat, sunglasses and a smile, she walked miles every day visiting shops and loved ones. Whether it was planting flowers in the yard or modeling bright, colorful blouses or dancing to music, Mother loved life.
She had many expressions, those who knew her well, would often hear “Right hand’fore God!” (insert-bang on the table). Maintaining the strongest spiritual relationship with love of the bible and its teaching, while instilling the Word of God into her children, grandchildren, and even strangers in passing. No smoking, no drinking, no cussing, no fussing. She was orderly with strong convictions grounded from love. An amazingly cherished and great woman, family oriented and strong.
