Ethel Lee Taylor, 81, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at 7:39 am in Life Care Center of Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with  Rev. Ricardo Taylor officiating. Private family burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana.   Visitation hour will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, Saturday, September 30, 2023 in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

She was born May 21, 1942 in Money, Mississippi  to the late  C.D. and Lula B. (Washington) Dalton. On August 11, 1970 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Charles W.  Taylor, Sr.who preceded her in death on September 7, 2005.
Surviving are son, Charles W. (Tania) Taylor, Jr. of Michigan City, Indiana; two granddaughters, Andrea (Wydarius) Henley of Georgia, and Tierra Taylor of Laporte, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Amirreon Davis;  Aarien Davis, Jaelyn Davis, Paul "Zayden" Taylor, and  Josiah Taylor along with a  great-great-grandchild , Jayceon Purdue; also surviving are  many nieces, nephews and cousins;  She was preceded in death by two special uncles, Arthur Tucker, and William Tucker and a great-great-grandchild , Jazmine Davis;   

Ethel was known as the neighborhood "PI" and enjoyed yard work and cooking / baking.  Special thanks to Sandra Bureau, James Leonard, Valerie Anderson and to Life Care Center of Michigan City for all their support, care & love shown to Mrs. Taylor and her family.
