Edward C. Szalajko

Edward C. Szalajko, 68, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at 3:48 pm in his home.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm Friday, January 3, 2025 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. Private burial will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  

He was born April 16, 1956 in Michigan City, IN to the late Jozef and Irene (Leszczynska) Szalajko. 

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ella Voigt, Sue Giesler and Diann "Donna" Edwards; and two brothers, Michael  Szalajko, Zeke Szalajko.   

Ed had worked at Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, IN. He enjoyed working on cars, landscaping and watching college basketball and football.
