Donna Sue Russell, 73, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 9:35 a.m. in Aperion Care - The Arbors, Michigan City.

No services will be held. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN is handling the arrangements.    

She was on born on November 11, 1951, in La Porte, Indiana, to the late James and Jennie (Lazerak) Russell.

Surviving are her two sisters, Karen (Alex) Jarrell of Michigan City, Indiana and Patricia Kennelly of Rolling Meadows, Illinois; and one niece, Lisa Keith of Michigan City, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Denny Kennelly.

Donna graduated with a master's degree in education from Ball State University. She then went on and started working in her teaching career, formerly known as a teacher at Krueger Middle School and Elston Junior High School, Michigan City. After 30 years, she retired to enjoy life with family and friends. Donna was an avid reader and card player.
