Dolores A. Shebel , 84, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 1:06 am in Franciscan Health - Michigan City, Michigan City, Indiana
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 20, 2025 at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, 5700 E. US Highway 20, Michigan City, Indiana. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
Dolores was born June 11, 1940 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Walter and Frances (Wozniak) Mazuchowski. On August 30, 1961 in Michigan City, Indiana she married William F. Shebel, Jr.. who preceded her in death on January 10, 1992. Surviving are her life partner , Dale Phillips of Trail Creek, Indiana; three daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Buell of La Porte, Indiana, Renee (Kenneth) Collins of Michigan City, Indiana, Jennifer (Robert) Scott of La Porte, Indiana; two sons, William W. (Kris) Shebel of La Porte, Indiana, Edward (Angel Perez) Shebel of Michigan City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Brandt Buell, Jacob Buell, Samuel (Emily) Scott, Jack (Meggan Goldenstern) Scott and Abigail (Mason Janik) Shebel; two great-grandchildren, Jordy Scott and Oliver Scott; brother, Larry (Karen) Mazuchowski of La Porte, Indiana; sister, Patricia Hutmacher of Indianapolis, Indiana along with beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Richard Hutmacher.
Dolores and Dale volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels. She was a volunteer member of the Service League of Michigan City. She was former co-owner of Bill Shebel Contractors and Shebel Sewer & Septic Service. Dolores was an excellent cook and wonderful hostess. She traveled the world, enjoyed reading, gardening and was an expert in the technical knowledge world especially enjoying Facebook. She had great style and elegance, but the best of all was her family and her love for them.
