Dennis R. Leslie, 67, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 9:31 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 1, 2023 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with  Pastor Dee Willusz officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, Friday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

He was born May 3, 1956 in Memphis, TN to the late James and Vernice (Wooten) Leslie. On June 13, 2015 in Michigan City, IN  married Ruthelma Gilpin who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are a daughter, Keri (Brian) Woodruff of Michigan City, IN; two sons, Corey Leslie of Texas and Shawn Leslie of Wyoming; two step-daughter Sue (Marshall) Shanks and Dawn (Franklin) Williams, both of Michigan City, IN; three brothers, Perry (Rayeann) Leslie of Michigan City, IN, Dewayne (Gail, deceased) Leslie of La Porte, IN and Eugene (Luann) Leslie of Arkansas; and several grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.     

Dennis had worked in the electrical maintenance department for the Michigan City Area Schools and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He enjoyed golfing, playing softball, tinkering in the garage and riding his Harley Davidson.
