Darlene J. Childers
May 5, 1939 - December 30, 2021 

Darlene J. Childers, 82, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 8:40 am in her home.

There will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

She was born May 5, 1939 in Michigan City, IN to the late Lawrence and Beryle (Dostie) Kellogg. On February 2, 1986 she married Jack Childers, Sr.who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Rhonda Mishler of Mount Pleasant, SC, Wendy Enos of Westville, IN and Charlene Jost of Michigan City, IN; son, Robert Ingelson of Holland, MI; six grandchildren, Ashlee (Randy) Downs, Aimee Mishler, Kaylynn (Kenneth) Jones, Michael Luscomb, Reilly Enos and Logan Enos; and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Susan; and brother James "Porky" Kellogg.   

Darlene retired after 14 years as the Kitchen Manager of City Lanes. She loved cooking and baking.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Lung Association of Indiana, 115 W. Washington St., Ste 1180 South, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
