Daniel G. Riggs

Daniel G. Riggs, 47, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 8:50 p.m. in Michigan City, Indiana.

There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, is handling arrangements.

He was born May 31, 1978, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late David Riggs and Cynthia (Stasak) Riggs, who survives in La Porte, Indiana.

Also surviving are his brother, Jeffrey Riggs of La Porte, Indiana; sister, Brigette Bagg; step-sister, Amy Wagn; step-brother, Andy Cratty; three nieces, Sam Lane, Karley Riggs, and Angelita Cratty; nephew, Theo Riggs; great-niece, Emma Lane; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Riggs; step-mother, Barbara Riggs; two grandfathers, Glenn Riggs and John Stasak; and two grandmothers, Betty Riggs and Teresa Stasak.

Danny loved doing weather reports on Facebook, something he was very talented at. He also enjoyed watching old horror movies on Svengoolie-especially his favorites from the 1940s and 1950s, such as Dracula and Frankenstein. Danny loved to cook (and was very good at it) and took great care of his beloved cat, Valentine. He also enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Notre Dame football.

Danny will be greatly missed. We love you.
