Cleon Calvin Stutler Jr. passed away on September 13, 2025. Cleon was born on November 7, 1951 in Gary, Indiana to Cleon Sr. and Betty Stutler. He was the second born of 4 boys, Darrel, David and Lewis.
Cleon graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Architecture and went on to design many iconic buildings throughout the Midwest. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda, in 1970 having recently honored 55 years of marriage. Their love gave them three beautiful children and four precious grandchildren. Throughout their years together, Cleon and Linda created a life full of art and love that they shared with their family and communities.
Cleon led a life of optimism and love in spite of many personal hardships. He was always willing to help others in need up until his last days. Cleon loved whole heartily and shared his interests passionately, especially with his children and grandchildren.
Cleon is survived by his wife Linda, his brother David (Debbie), his three children, Shawn (Laura), Shannon (Naoki), and Cortney (Adam), 4 grandchildren Kai, Hadden, Mei, and Henley, and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held for family and friends at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
