Chester Wozniak, 94, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:15 am in Brentwood Assisted Living, La Porte, IN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1506 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Walter Ciesla officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 10:00 am Saturday at the church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.    

He was born January 31, 1926 in Michigan City, IN to the late Thomas and Anna (Zaucha) Wozniak. On April 28, 1984 in Michigan City, IN  he married Lorraine Podgorski McLachlan who survives.

Also surviving are his daughter, Cathy Yagelski of Michigan City, IN; son, David (Jean) McLachlan of Michigan City, IN; six grandchildren, Jill (Dan) Branham, Josh (Beth) McLachlan, Justin (Jennifer) McLachlan, Nicholas (Sarah) Yagelski, Allison Yagelski and, Danielle McLachlan; and seven great-grandchildren.

He  was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and James McLachlan; three sisters, Mary, Veronica and Virginia Wozniak; and ten brothers, Florian, Marion, Edwin, Louis, Alex, Peter, Vincent, Barney, Stanley and Clem Wozniak. 

Chester retired from Farming and Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Chester enjoyed dancing, farming, riding on his tractor, fixing things and spending time with his grandchildren.
