Carl J. Wagner, 85, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:52 am in VNA Hospice Center, Valparaiso, IN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Jordan Fetcko officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Thursday at the Queen of All Saints Legacy Center. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
He was born May 28, 1938 in Michigan City, IN to the late Julius and Helen (Pawlik) Wagner. On June 28, 1958 in Michigan City, IN married Sandra Spicka who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are four daughters, Deborah Frederick of Fredericksburg, VA, Brenda Flannagan of Auburndale, FL, Lisa (Duane) Lockwood of Sharpsburg, GA and Susan (Keith) Stadtmiller of Pawtucket, RI; son, Michael Wagner of Spotsylvania, VA; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Beverly (Joel) Book of Charlotte, NC.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Julius Wagner and Norman Wagner.
Carl retired as a control room operator at NIPSCO and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, St. Joseph Young Men's Society, American Legion John Franklin Miller Post 37 and the Caddyshackers Golf Club. Carl enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting, carpentry and playing softball.
