Carl J. Trunk, Jr., 66, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 4:35 pm in Michigan City, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, July 5, 2021 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Pastor Joe Watterson and Ian Lindsey officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, Monday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

He was born September 17, 1954 in Michigan City, IN to the late Carl and Mary Ann (Korba) Trunk, Sr. On May 14, 1983 in Michigan City, IN he married Vivian Taylor who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are three daughters, Lea (David) Lindsey, Jeanine (Steve) Stimley and Malinda Sonnenberg, all of Michigan City, IN; son, Paul Heeg of Arizona; eleven grandchildren, Randy, Ian, Brenna, Robin, Elizabeth, Lucas, Jacob, Wyatt, Ethan, Abigail and Michael; five great-grandchildren, Faelynn, Mallory, Jacob, Sharollet and Mimi; and two brothers, Robert Trunk of Michigan City, IN and Neil (Susan) Trunk of The Pines, IN.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Amy McKay; sister, Jacqueline Martin; and brother, James Trunk. 

Carl was the retired owner of Trunks Nursery and also owned Carl's Car Restoration. He was a member of A.M.O. and several other area car clubs. Carl was a regular attendee of the Tuesday night car show at Al's Supermarket and enjoyed nature and spending time with his family.
