Brian P. "Peaches" Bartnik, 58, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at 6:45 am in his home.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

He was born December 11, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio to Richard and Marilyn (Keyser) Bartnik.

Surviving are a daughter, Melisa Bartnik of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Beverly (Jeff) Kizer of Michigan City, IN; nephew, Scott Killingbeck of Michigan City, IN; niece, Heather Kizer of Michigan City, IN; great- niece, Piper Killingbeck; and great-nephew, Brody Killingbeck.

He was also preceded in death by his father, Richard Bartnik; sister, Becky Bartnik; and brother, Bruce Bartnik.

Brian had worked for 28 years as a heavy equipment Operator at SMS Mill Services, Burns Harbor, IN. He was a proud union member of Teamsters Local #142 and enjoyed spending time with his friends. The family would like to acknowledge Dunes Hospice for their comfort and care of Brian. A special thank you to Christine, Michelle, Andy, Robin and all of the staff.
