Blythe Ann Topa

Blythe Ann Topa, 68, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022.
At Blythe's request there will be no services. Family will hold a private gathering at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
She was born August 14, 1953 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Pete and Phyllis (Bartels) Steepro. She is survived by her husband Larry Topa and two sons, Brett and Brian Topa; two grandsons, Ashton and Tyson Topa; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy (Steve) Wajsgras; sister and brother-in-law, Donna (Gary) Beyer and nephews, Marc Wajsgras and Brad (Hillary) Beyer and family; aunt and uncle, Donna (Jim) Burris and family;
Blythe was a respected nurse of 48 years. She held a Masters degree in business administration from Notre Dame University. After graduation from nursing school in 1974, she worked at Walters Hospital until 1976 and then started at St. Anthony Hospital (Franciscan Health-Michigan City) until her retirement in 2016. Most recently she worked for the La Porte Co. Health Dept. administering vaccines. She will be remembered for her tireless devotion to nursing and her love for her family and friends.
