Beverly Jean Milcarek, 91, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at 4:42 pm in Franciscan Health - Michigan City
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, Indiana. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 am -11:00 am in the Queen of all Saints Catholic Church Legacy Center. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel,
She was born February 3, 1932 in Chesterton, Indiana to the late George H. and Clara F.(Yagelski) Rohde. On September 27, 1952 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Carl J. Milcarek, Sr.who preceded her in death on January 12, 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Dennis) Schultz of La Porte, Indiana, Marilyn Huston of Michigan City, Indiana; two sons, Carl J. (Marlene) Milcarek, Jr. of Michigan City, Indiana, John (Donna) Milcarek of La Porte, Indiana; grandchildren, Erica (Michael) Iacovetti, Lindsey Milcarek, Jenna Milcarek, Derek (Christina) Schultz, Joseph (Kelly) Schultz, Justin (Ashley) Milcarek, Garret Milcarek, Natalie Huston, James (Sarah) Huston, and Paul (Erin) Huston; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Hahn of Michigan City, Indiana; She was preceded in death by son, Robert Milcarek, great-granddaughter, Maria Iacovetti along with a brother, George A. Rohde, and sister, Marjorie Grattenthaler;
Beverly was a member of Queen of all Saints Catholic Church, former past president of the Victory Bowling League, Coolspring Township Fire Flys, and the Alpha lota Chapter of the Pi Epsilon Kappa Catholic Sorority. She loved the Michigan City beach and traveling with her family to Minnesota. She enjoyed crossword puzzles watching all sports especially the Chicago Cubs and was a huge fan of Aaron Rodgers. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family wishes to acknowledge the Duneland Dialysis, Michigan City for there kindness, care and support shown to Mrs. Milcarek.
