Benjamin G. Wienhoft

Benjamin G. Wienhoft, 23, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at 3:09 p.m. in Michigan City, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Pastor John Nitta officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Funeral Chapel. 

He was born July 26, 2002, in La Porte, Indiana, to his father, Brett Wienhoft of La Porte, IN, and mother, Melissa (Wright) Pearce of Valparaiso, IN.

Also surviving are his stepmother, Angie Wienhoft of Michigan City, IN; stepfather, Steve Pearce of Valparaiso, IN; brother, Elliott Pearce of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Julia Pearce of Valparaiso, IN; grandparents, Dale (Vicki) Wienhoft of La Porte, IN, and Gordon (Yan) Pearce of Markham, IL; grandmothers, Dianne Garrett of Queen Creek, AZ, and Leslyn Quartuccio of Michigan City, IN; grandfather, Brent Langston of Lowell, IN; aunt, Sarah (Frank) Quartuccio of Michigan City, IN; and uncle, Mark (Rikki) Wienhoft of La Porte, IN. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Robert Wright. 

Benjamin graduated from South Central High School in 2020. He had a lifelong passion for taking things apart and putting them back together, which led to a successful career as a technician at Batteries Plus. Growing up, he was active in the Porter County 4-H and ran cross country and track during school.

Benjamin was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing and playing video games. He was known for his compassion, politeness, and wonderful sense of humor-he loved joking with his family and friends and could always make people laugh.
