Barbara Ann Zerbe
February 27, 1929 - April 5, 2021 

Barbara Ann Zerbe, 92, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at 11:50 am in her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, April 9, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 9th St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Dr. Ericka Parkinson Kilbourne officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN and  from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm, Friday at the church.    

She was born February 27, 1929 in Michigan City, IN to the late Alfred G. and Carrie R.(Stralo) Riley. On June 11, 1949 in Michigan City, IN she married Samuel C. Zerbe who preceded her in 1996.

Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Lowe of Valparaiso, IN, Julietta Ocealis of Goshen, IN and Carrie Mahoney Kalk of Michigan City, IN; five grandchildren, Samuel (Shelby) Lowe of Brownsburg, IN, Patrick Lowe of Portage, IN, Susan (Joshua) Matejczyk of Lake Station, IN, Jessica (Robert) Swihart of Goshen, IN and Sean (Leanne) Mahoney of White House, TN; nine great-grandchildren, Hannah, Gabriel, Josephine, Dawson, Jeriah, Kaden, Jacob, Alexis and Baylor; sister, Sheryl Sabie of Temcula, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her grandchild, Anne Marie Ocealis; and siblings, Daisy Shires, Nellie Campelatara, Alfred Riley, Jr., Gordon Riley, Lulu Bruener, Maxine Kinchen and Carolyn Woods.  

Barbara was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Michigan City, IN and enjoyed reading and playing Sudoku.
