Arthur Theodore Bleicher, 74, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:07 pm at his home in Michigan City, IN.
Private family services will take place at a later date. Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
He was born May 25, 1950 in East Chicago, Indiana, to the late Robert Bleicher and Rose Altenhoff.
Surviving are daughter, Rebecca (Benjamin) Welsh of Salem, AL; Significant other, Sara Johnson of Michigan City, IN; two grandchildren, Adley Welsh and Jack Welsh both of Salem, AL; sister, Donna Bleicher of Niles, MI; family members, Thomas Mizer, Mason Streeting, Kyleigh Streeting, Michelle Singh, Mannisha Singh, Jayden Singh; several nieces and nephews; many other family members and friends; He was preceded in death by both his parents, sister, Andrea Bleicher; brother, Robert Bleicher.
Arthur worked for many years as a truck driver and mechanic for Bosch Automotive. He proudly served 4 years in the United States Army. He was a member of the DAV in Michigan City, The American Legion Post 169 of New Buffalo, and the Deer Creek Hunt Club in Three Oaks. Arthur was an avid gun collector and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed gardening and loved to "tinker" around the house and fix things. He was a jack of all trades and would always lending a helping hand to someone in need.
