Anthony F. Pishkur, 81, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 8:25 pm in Symphony of Chesterton, Chesterton, Indiana
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, December 9, 2023 in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana with Brother Shaun Gray, CSC officiating. Visitation hours will be Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
He was born August 26, 1942 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Frank W. and Helen (Kulka) Pishkur. On December 22, 1973 In Michigan City, Indiana he married Patti L. Menke who survives Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are son, Jeffrey M. Pishkur and granddaughter, Hailey L. Pishkur, both of Winter Park, Florida; brothers, Daniel (Beth) Pishkur, Frank T. Pishkur and sister, Judith Pishkur all of Michigan City, Indiana; sister-in-law, Joan Pishkur of Michigan City, Indiana; sister-in-law, Carol Fellows, Dayton, Texas and brother-in-law Robert Menke, Evanston, Wyoming along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by brother, William J. Pishkur;
Tony retired after 28 years as a master patrolman from the Michigan City Police Department. He then work as a security officer at Blue Chip Casino for 13 years. He was a US Army veteran, and was former president of the FOP Dunes Lodge 75 where he also served with the Honor Guard. He was a member of St. Joseph Young Men's Society and the American Legion Skwiat Post 451.
