Anna M. Daniel, 91, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 6:45 pm in Michigan City, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with  Minister John Haferkamp officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday and 10:00 am - 11:00 am Wednesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.    

She was born December 2, 1930 in Jerseyville, IL to the late Thurman and Bertha (Perkins) Hardwick. On July 1, 1965 in Terrell, Texas she married Cecil Daniel who preceded her in death on  April 17, 1996.

Surviving are two daughters, LeAnn (Bill) Russell of Michigan City, IN, Lisa (Jeff) Dabkowski of La Porte, Indiana; son, Michael Daniel of Michigan City, Indiana; five grandchildren, Shawna (Terry) Callahan, Sara Kurpiel, Jason (Stephanie) Russell, William (April) Dabkowski and Dalton (Rebecca) Dabkowski; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan Callahan, Kalee Callahan, Benjamin Russell, Adelyn Russell, Eleanora Russell, Liam Dabkowski, Jaxon Dabkowski and Madelyn Dabkowski; and a great-great-grandchild, Messiah Callahan.

She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Mitchell and Mark Daniel; and siblings, Eva Lowery, Walter Hardwick, Harvey Hardwick, Cletus Hardwick, Mary Helen Calhoun, Delbert Hardwick, Russell Hardwick, Rosella Vollmer, Paul Hardwick, Robert Hardwick, Donald Hardwick, Julius Hardwick, and Joyce Sidener.   

Anna retired after 20 years as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone and she also had worked for 10 years as a telephone operator at St. Anthony Hospital. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the D.A.V. Chapter 23.
