Amanda L. Edwards, 51, Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at 9:39 am in Northwest Health-La Porte.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral chapel.   

She was born February 9, 1973 in Michigan City, IN. On May 1, 2021 in Michigan City, IN she married Randy Edwards who preceded her on December 3, 2022.

Surviving are her daughter, Rebekah Durham of Kalamazoo, MI; son, Jacob Durham of Plymouth, IN; step-daughter, Tionna Edwards of Michigan City, IN; step-son, Randy J. (Madison Richards) Edwards of Michigan City, IN; two grandchildren, Lylah Edwards and Zy'aire Edwards; her mother, Nancy Hurley of Rolling Prairie, IN; father, Richard Hurley of Terre Haute, IN; sister, Sheila (James) Mellinger of Hillsdale, IN; brother, Adam (Laura) Hurley of Lambertville, MI;  and her nephew, Hunter Hurley. 

Amanda was a nurse at Aperion Care Arbors, Michigan City, IN and a member of the V.F.W. 2536 Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to painting classes, concerts, casinos and dancing. Amanda was always a very sweet, kind, generous and loving person to her family and her friends. She was dearly loved by her family and will be sadly missed. Her smile and memories will always live in our hearts. Amanda wanted to thank everyone who gave her love and support over the last two years.
