Alice H. (Morse) Wyman

Alice H. Wyman, 89, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:19 p.m. at Center for Hospice Elkhart in Elkhart, Indiana.

Private family services will be held at a later date at a family cemetery in Michigan. Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN 46360, is assisting with arrangements.

She was born September 10, 1936, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to the late Stanley and Marjorie (Baker) Morse. On November 11, 1999, in Michigan City, Indiana, she married Edwin T. Wyman, who survives.

Also surviving are her son, James (Linda) Willis of Charlevoix, Michigan; two grandchildren, Nat (Erin) Willis of Oregon and Heather (Mick) Lopez of Ohio; and two great-grandchildren, Lilia and Dominic. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, John Willis. Alice is also survived by Timothy (Marita) Wyman, Gregory Wyman, and Kathleen (Matt) Militzer, her children by marriage.

Alice spent most of her career in retail management, working for various retailers throughout the years. She had a lifelong love of reading and gardening and enjoyed spending time outdoors surrounded by nature. An avid animal lover, she and her husband shared their home with many beloved cats over the years. In her younger years, Alice enjoyed fishing in Northern Michigan and creating handmade treasures through crocheting. She also loved attending craft shows and discovering new creative projects. Above all, Alice will be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous woman whose warm personality touched the lives of all who knew her.
