Alan P. Hanley was born on September 10th, 1939 and died on August 24th. He passed away after a long and valiant battle with Alzheimer's. 

He was happily married to Kathleen (Mulholland) Hanley for 60 years. He was the brother to Regina Thorpe, and deceased siblings Robert, Geraldine, Leona, Bernie, and Veronica. He was the proud father of Timothy Hanley, Kevin Hanley (Indira Raju), Colin (Altagrace Douge), Katie (Tom) Kessler. He spent many happy times with his grandchildren. He was the proud grandfather to Colin, Mikey, Carlin, Devyn, Giovani, Luke, Charlie, Emmett, and Kathleen. He was also the uncle to 53 nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be conducted on Wednesday September 4th, at 10:00 am at Old St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 700 W. Adams St., Chicago, IL. Parking is located at 625 W. Adams St. and the entrance to the church is located on Desplaines St. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
