William L. Wing, 87, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 12:35 pm peacefully in his home surrounded by his family and lovingly care for by his wife and four daughters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN and from 9:15 am - 10:00 am Wednesday at the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church Legacy Center.

He was born August 12, 1931 in Stillwell, Indiana to the late Russell and Florence (Whitaker) Wing, Sr. On April 19, 1952 in Michigan City, IN he married Therese A. Timm who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are four daughters, Kathleen (Craig) Enos of LaPorte, IN, Christine (Larry) Kintzele of LaPorte, IN, Susan (Mark) Przybylinski of Michigan City, IN and Nancy (William) Voris of Lombard, IL; son, Timothy (Deborah) Wing of Watkinsville, GA; eleven grandchildren, Nicholas (Clarissa) Simpson, Hollie Arruda, Amy (Tim) Baker, Eric (Stephanie) Odle, Mandy (Chris) Buresh, Angie (Brian) Claeys, Aaron Przybylinski, Krista (Spencer) Kirk, Jacob Voris, Clayton (Casey) Wing and Davis Wing; 12 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Janet Peterson of Arkansas.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Russell Wing, Jr.; and sister Lois Schultz.

William retired as a Captain after 21 years with the Michigan City Fire Department and was the owner of Wing's Appliance Service Co. He was a member of the Moose Family Center 980 and the Elks Lodge 432. William enjoyed family camping, fishing, going for walks and was a an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
