Thomas Andrew Seibert

December 17, 1946 - March 30, 2019

Thomas Andrew Seibert, 72,  passed away March 30, 2019 at his home in Michigan City Indiana.

Thomas was born December 17, 1946 in Chicago to John G. and Margaret E. (Ryan) Seibert. He graduated from Chicago Vocational High School in Chicago, IL and was a veteran of the Army, serving in Korea.

Tom was a retired truck driver who worked for Gateway Industries for many years and Knoll Brothers. He enjoyed restoring old cars, especially ’55 Chevy's and was an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan.

He is the Father of Jamie S. (Jay) Slutzkin and the late David L. Brown, Grandfather of Garrett T. Kessler, MadisonM.Kessler, Andrew S.Brown, Matthew D. Brown and Samuel M. Slutzkin and three great Grandchildren.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Ann (Siad) Torkelson and Kathleen E. (Michael) McCarthy and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Seibert; his son, David L Brown; and siblings, Margaret L. Burke, John M. Seibert, and James G. Seibert.

Friends are invited to a celebration of life with his family at Trinity Episcopal Church, 600 Franklin Street at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 9, 2019 with Rev. Joe Czolgosz officiating. Private burial will take place in Patton Cemetery with full military services. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, is in charge of handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vans for Vets in care of Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 23, 2301 Ohio St., Michigan City, IN 46360.
