Richard J. Craig, 73, Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 11:30 pm in Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Rev. David Solum officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm, Friday and from 10:00 am until service time Saturday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.

He was born November 21, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Stafford) Craig. On April 12, 1969 in Michigan City, IN he married Barbara Losiniecki who survives in Mishawaka, IN.

Also surviving are two daughters, Julie (Thomas Lewis) Craig of South Bend, IN and Sharon (Ricky Shines) Craig of South Bend, IN; grandchild, Cierra Strawder of Ypsilanti, MI; Sister, Evelyn E. (Tom Sizemore) Craig of Lenexa, KS; and his brother, Joseph C. (June) Craig of Ogden Dunes, IN.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Craig.

Richard had worked as a customer service manager at Weil-McLain and he also had worked at Citizens Bank. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Valparaiso University. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Michigan City, IN and the Elk's Lodge 432. Richard was also involved with Barber Shop Quartet and the Michigan City Jaycees.
