Patty Ann Petelinsek, nee Grabiak

Patty Ann Petelinsek the daughter of Edward M. "Red" Grabiak and Jeanne V. (VanMeter) entered this life on February 22, 1948 in LaPorte, Indiana.

She grew up in Michigan City, Indiana. Patty Ann had one son, Jeffrey A. "Scooter" Grabiak and one grandson Zachary A. Grabiak.

Patty Ann was employed at Bethlehem Steel/ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor, Indiana where she was a heavy equipment operator for 36 years until she retired.

Family members entering eternal life before Patty Ann include her parents and beloved cousin, Dawn VanMeter.

Surviving are her husband, John Petelinsek of The Villages, FL; her son, Jeffrey A. (Beth) Grabiak; and her grandson, Zachary A. Grabiak, both of Hobart, IN; uncle, Donald A. (Fran) VanMeter of Lawton, MI; and many cousins.

An avid lover of warm weather and sunshine in 2009 Patty Ann and her mother Jeanne moved to North Fort Myers, FL where she met John Petelinsek. Patty Ann and John were married on April 26, 2014. Patty Ann and John moved to The Villages, FL in 2016 where she lived until her death on January 9, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:15 am -10:00 am, Saturday in the Queen of All Saints Legacy Center. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 So. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, IN or to the charity of your choice.
