Patricia L. Wiggins, 94, La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 7:40 am in Brentwood in La Porte.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1010 Moore Road, Long Beach, Indiana with Rev. Keith McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 9:30 am -11:00 am, Thursday at Notre Dame Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited Thursday at 9:30 am in the Notre Dame Catholic Church Chapel. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. Her family requests those attending services please wear your brightest colored outfit as Mrs. Wiggins always did.
She was born June 20, 1924 in Owosso, Michigan to the late Merritt and Ethel Marie (Bartlett) Perky. On April 21, 1945 in Ft. Hood, Texas she married Harold Wiggins who preceded April 19, 2004. Surviving are Daughter, Patrease Henson of Paris, Illinois; three sons, Doug (Theresa) Wiggins and Stephen (Barbara) Wiggins both of South Bend, Indiana, Jonathon Wiggins of Arlington, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Wiggins of Michigan City, Indiana; twelve Grandchildren, Alexander (Diane) Wiggins, Austin Wiggins, Brigit (Colin) Noe, Jeremiah (Susan) Wiggins, Zachariah (Nicole) Wiggins, Vincent Wiggins, Melissa Lynn, Nicholas Henson, Jacob Henson, Sara (Sean) Rathbun, Rochelle (Stephen) Sanaghan and Ben (Jamie) Wiggins along with 14 Great-Grandchildren; sister, Maureen Allessee of Deephaven, Minnesota; She was preceded in death by son, Mark Wiggins; grandson, Nathaniel Wiggins; brother, James Perky and sister, Mary Hyatt;
Mrs. Wiggins was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, along with her love of shopping and gardening. She served as Vice-President of Wiggins Homes, Inc.
