Patricia Barlow, 92, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 3:58 pm in Trail Creek Place, Michigan City, Indiana.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, 606 S. Woodland Ave., Michigan City, Indiana with Rev. Kevin Huber officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Visitation hours will be Sunday from 2:00 pm till 6:00 pm in the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana and Monday from 9:00 am till 10:00 am at Queen of all Saints Catholic Church Legacy Center.
She was born August 25, 1925 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late John and Elizabeth (Hisgen) Johnson. On June 17, 1950 in Kalamazoo, Michigan she married Robert Barlow who preceded her in death on November 15, 2015. Surviving are Three Sons, John (Sonia) Barlow of Mishawaka, Indiana, James (Debbie) Barlow of Carmel, Indiana and Robert (Michelle) Barlow of Elgin, South Carolina; Sister, Jackie Malone of Almont, Michigan; Son-in-law, David (Gail) Lamb of Michigan City, Indiana; Grandchildren, Sean (Meghan) Barlow, Keri (Shawn) Bitman, Ashley (Zack) Young, Alec (Tiffany) Barlow, Bailey Kirkland, Sydney Kirkland, Cody (Alison) Barlow, Charlee (Cody) Bontrager, Travis (Amy) Tabak, Megan (Jerald "Omar") Lamb, Jon Lamb, Maddison Barlow and Nicholas Barlow; Great-Grandchildren, Collin Barlow, Erin Barlow, Brynn Barlow, Van Barlow, Riley Barlow, Ryan Barlow, Taylor Bitman, Ty Bitman, Cole Bitman, Brady Young, Clayton Young, Olivia Tabak, Kaliway Tabak, Aviana Garner, Gabrielle Garner, Brenden Garner, Kaleb Garner, Ethan Garner and Aiden Lamb; She was preceded in death by Daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" Lamb; Sister, Helen Bond;
Mrs. Barlow was a member of Queen of all Saints Catholic Church, Michigan City, and graduated from Western Michigan University and received her Master's Degree from Indiana University South Bend. She retired as an Elementary Teacher from the Michigan City School System, Niemann School. She also was an avid golfer including a "Hole-in-One". She enjoyed playing Bridge, volunteering with the St. Anthony Hospital Guild, Precinct worker at election time assisting with the election polls. She also enjoyed and supported the Elks Lodge #432, Michigan City, Indiana.
