Miriam Elaine Egle, 83, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 6:05 am in her home.
Private family services will be conducted. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.
She was born December 22, 1933 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Charles and Ruth (Hultgren) Sieb. On September 1, 1956 in Michigan City, IN she married James M. Egle who preceded her on July 9, 2017.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (David) Potempa of LaPorte , IN and Paula Scott of Largo, FL; two sons, David Egle and Michael (Pamela) Egle, both of Michigan City, IN; and four grandchildren, Daniel Scott, Andrew Scott, Stephanie Egle and Matthew Egle.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Naomi (Thor) Carlson; and brother, Armand Sieb.
Miriam was a homemaker, an avid gardener, and lover of nature. She had a creative mind and was an artist who loved to draw and painted pictures using oil. She was uncomplaining, forgiving and would always see the good in people before the bad. She maintained her sense of humor to the end.
