Michael Allen Mays, 47, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 8:54 pm in Westville, IN.

A celebration of life gathering will be from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN.

He was born June 1, 1971 in Michigan City, Indiana to Donald and Sharon (Morris) Mays. On October 22, 1999 in LaPorte, IN he married Michelle Becker who survives in Michigan City, IN.

Also surviving are three Sons, Andrew Mays of South Bend, IN, Christopher Mays of Michigan City, IN and Dylan Mays of Michigan City, IN; father Donald (Bobbie) Mays of Michigan City, IN; mother, Sharon Hatfield of New Buffalo, MI; sister, Margaret (Joseph) Smyers of Westville, IN; two step-sisters, Sheila Ulku of Moorhead, MN and Sheryl Eaton of Michigan City, IN; and step-brother, Charles Eaton of Michigan City, IN.

Michael was a carpenter who enjoyed fishing, bowling, motorcycles and watching his children play sports.
